Lee, Fukudome homer; Chicago allows game-winner in eighth

PHILADELPHIA — Raul Ibanez hit a go-ahead RBI single in the eighth inning to give the Phillies a 5-4 win over the Cubs at Citizens Bank Park on Thursday afternoon.

The Cubs came back from being down 4-1 in the sixth. Kosuke Fokudome hit a game-tying solo home run in the eighth.

Jimmy Rollins snapped a 1-1 tie with a three-run home run in the sixth, but the Cubs climbed their way back. Derrek Lee hit a solo home run and Tyler Colvin added a pinch-hit sacrifice fly to cut the lead to 4-3 in the seventh.

Rollins' home run came on a 3-0 pitch by Ryan Dempster — one of Dempster's only miscues of the day. The righty gave up only five hits in six innings.

After allowing a solo home run to Chase Utley in the first, Dempster retired 12 of 13 hitters at one point before Rollins' tie-breaking shot.

The Cubs were held in check by Phillies starter Joe Blanton, who raced through Chicago's order with impressive command and efficiency. Blanton allowed only five hits and three runs, needing only 71 pitches to get through seven innings.

Starlin Castro drove in the Cubs' first run with an RBI single in the fifth inning. The rookie is now batting .375 with 10 RBIs with runners in scoring position.
