Should Chicago Forgive Steve Bartman

Im Australian and there was a documentary on the other night about the Steve Bartman Incident and I felt sorry for the poor bloke but thats coming from someone who isnt a cubs fan so i want to know from a cubs fan should you forgive Steve Bartman

The things is that he really did nothing wrong. The ball was in the stands and he didn’t interfere with Alou.

Yes, but if Steve Bartman chose not to forgive them I wouldn’t blame him a bit.

I say yes. I was watching the game live on tv, and living in Chicago at the time. The guy is a No. 1 Cubs fan. A real fan, and not some yuppie that lived near Wrigley. I should know. I’ve been there several times.

It was unfortunate, but no one says Chicago would have won that game. Or the WS versus NY Yankees. It’s easy to blame others. But they had a million chances to win that series and frankly just got beat by a better team.

What Bartman did was absolutely hilarious.

The fans of the Cubs need to forgive the franchise for screwing them over for the past 104 years. Bartman did nothing wrong. He was a fan that went for a foul ball, period. The over reaction of Moisés Alou was almost comical. He had no chance at the ball. He saw that the Cubs were letting the game and the pennant get away from them. Alou needed someone or something to blame so Bartman was a perfect excuse. The pitching lost the pennant, not Steve Bartman.
